Schenectady, N.Y. — The City of Schenectady and the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority today issued a traffic advisory for downtown Schenectady for next Tuesday August 13th.
On Tuesday, August 13th, Broadway between State Street and Franklin Street in downtown Schenectady will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The reason for the traffic advisory is that a large crane will be in use as part of the renovation of 325 State Street, the future home of Mexican Radio.
To accommodate this street closure from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the City will allow traffic on Broadway north-bound from Franklin Street to Liberty Street (normally this is south-bound only). Flagmen and Schenectady Police will be on the scene to direct traffic.
For CDTA bus riders, check the CDTA website at www.cdta.org for changes to the 351 Broadway/Van Vranken route.
For further information, contact John Coluccio, Signal Superintendent, City of Schenectady at 382-5065 or Metroplex at 377-1109.
