SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — The Chamber was in attendance for C2 Design Group’s ribbon cutting on Thursday, October 24. There were more than 200 people in attendance.
Principal and owner, Michael Roman knew he needed additional space for his growing business. C2 began designing and planning a new office located in the Schenectady County Airport Business Park in 2017. The 3-acre site was acquired in September with an investment of $1.7 million to build a 15,000 square foot building. The larger office was needed to provide more space to hire additional architects and marketing staff.
Roman received incentives to locate within the county from the Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority. C2’s former office had been at 340 Broadway in downtown Schenectady.
C2 was founded out of Roman’s home in 2004 and grew steadily to employ ten team members. In 2015, Roman decided to expand the suite of services to include marketing and rebranding as C2 Design Group. The firm offers clients the option of marketing their projects through websites, graphics, public relations or social media campaigns.
The firm will continue to expand its team as part of its growth strategy to meet the needs of public and private sector clients located in the greater Capital District. “I am thrilled to have moved the C2 Design Group team to the Airport Business Park,” said Michael Roman. “It is a fantastic opportunity and prime location for us to continue to grow and expand our business while remaining in Schenectady County, which has been our home for the last ten years.”
