25 Schenectady County restaurants will offer fixed-price meals for $20.14

February 13, 2014

Schenectady, NY (February 11, 2014) – Restaurants in Downtown Schenectady and nearby Schenectady County locations are preparing to welcome thousands of diners from February 24 – March 2, 2014 during the 9th Annual Schenectady Restaurant Week. Over the course of seven days, 25 restaurants will offer special fixed-price menus for $20.14, featuring choices from among a delicious selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Schenectady Restaurant Week is a joint promotion of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation and the Chamber of Schenectady County.

“The community really comes together to support Schenectady’s restaurants during this annual promotion,” said Chuck Steiner, President of the Chamber of Schenectady County. He added, “Many restaurants will just be coming off a stretch of strong sales due to the nearly week-long run of the Broadway musical Sister Act at Proctors. Restaurant Week will continue that positive momentum by generating another week of steady business.”

“Schenectady is enjoying a growing number and variety of dining options,” said Jim Salengo, Executive Director of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation. “Restaurant Week is a fantastic way to attract customers to these exceptional independently-owned restaurants, many for the first time.”
