(Schenectady, NY) Last year the Town of Glenville pulled an upset for the title for the best tasting drinking water in Schenectady County! Will they retain their title in 2018 or lose it to past New York State Champions Town of Rotterdam, Town of Niskayuna, or City of Schenectady? Or will Scotia or Princetown pull an upset?
Find out Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 11am – 1pm as local municipalities in Schenectady County do battle to determine who has the best tasting drinking water. Municipalities invited to participate include the Towns of Glenville, Niskayuna, Princetown and Rotterdam, the City of Schenectady, and the Village of Scotia. The winner will go on to the regional competition in Albany and if successful, the State finals held at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.
“Schenectady County is proud to have some of the most popular and tastiest drinking water in New York State as evidenced by our State Champions Town of Niskayuna, City of Schenectady and Town of Rotterdam,” said Anthony Jasenski, Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature. “Our residents get to be the judge, so I encourage everyone to come down to the Farmers Market and choose who will represent Schenectady County in the Regional and State competitions.”
