Schenectady, N.Y. — The Schenectady County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) met today and approved an expansion at Dimension Fabricators in Glenville, NY.
The IDA approved a resolution for bank financing that will allow Dimension Fabricators to proceed with a $650,000 expansion at its facility located at the Glenville Business and Technology Park in Glenville, NY. The company is expanding office space at its 152,000 square foot building to accommodate additional staff. Dimension now employs almost 70 in Glenville. The company continues to land new orders to manufacture complex steel fabricated products including rebar steel, steel cages and very large steel spirals. The company ships products throughout the Eastern United States and Canada from the Glenville plant. The expansion is funded totally with private funding. Work will start immediately.
County Legislator Gary Hughes who also serves on the County IDA said, “The expansion at Dimension Fabricators is something we are pleased to support as this company continues to grow and ship Schenectady-made steel products to the rest of the U.S. and Canada.”
The Schenectady County IDA is administered by the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority as part of the County’s unified economic development team.
