“Schenectady County is proud to welcome the Recovery Sports Grill to Rotterdam,” said Susan E. Savage, Chairwoman of the Schenectady County Legislature. “Jobs and economic growth continue to be our focus in Schenectady County, and by working together, we have taken the former Capitol Plaza that was vacant and in poor condition and replaced it with this terrific new venue.”
BBL Hospitality partnered with Columbia Development on the project and invested more than $4.5 million to bring its successful Recovery Sports Grill to the former Capitol Plaza in Rotterdam. The project included demolishing the existing structure, grading the site and building the new facility. The Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority provided a $65,000 grant toward the cost of demolition and the Rotterdam IDA provided a grant of $60,000 toward the cost of site work and demolition.
