The Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority announced today that all parking in downtown Schenectady will be free of charge on Friday, November 25th and Saturday, November 26th.
Free parking is available at ten parking lots downtown and the Metroplex garage on Broadway. Proctors is featuring a matinee and evening performance both Friday and Saturday of the Tony Award Winning play “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.” On Friday show times are at 1:30 pm and 8 pm. On Saturday the matinee is at 2 pm and the evening performance is at 8 pm. Friday and Saturday are both busy shopping days downtown and Saturday is Small Business Saturday, a national promotion that encourages purchases from local businesses. Dozens of independent local businesses will be offering specials and in-store activities throughout the day.
“Last Saturday night downtown was packed for the Holiday Parade. We welcome residents and visitors to continue the celebration Thanksgiving weekend in downtown Schenectady,” said Ray Gillen, Metroplex Chair.
