Green Bay, Wis. — The cheesemakers from the New York plants of BelGioioso Cheese won four prestigious awards at the 2023 New York State Fair Judging. The Cappiello cheeses are crafted at the company’s Glenville, NY plant while Polly-O cheeses are produced at their Campbell, NY plant.
The medals will be officially awarded on August 31, 2023 during the Great New York State Fair Dairy Day Recognition & Awards Breakfast Reception at the State Fairgrounds. BelGioioso Cheesemakers will receive a First Place Gold for their Cappiello 8 oz. Natural Hickory Smoked Fresh Mozzarella ball, a second place Silver for Cappiello 1 lb. Fresh Mozzarella log, and two third place Awards of Excellence for Cappiello 8 oz. Pesto Marinated Sliced Fresh Mozzarella log and Polly-O Original Ricotta.
