September 23, 2024

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Moody’s Ratings, a world leader in evaluating financial credit worthiness, announced last week that it has boosted the credit rating assigned to the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority.  Metroplex’s credit rating was increased from A1 to Aa3, the fourth highest rating available.

Metroplex Chair Ray Gillen said, “This increase in bond rating demonstrates the strength of our financial position and the great work by our staff to make sure that our finances are in extremely good order. The Moody’s report also points to the strengthening local economy and growth in sales tax revenue here in Schenectady County.”

Metroplex is the lead economic development agency for Schenectady County and is the focal point of the County’s unified economic development team.  For more information, see www.schenectadymetroplex.org.
